For enhanced safety, the front and rear seat shoulder belts of the Bentley Bentayga have pretensioners to tighten the seatbelts and eliminate dangerous slack in the event of a collision and force limiters to limit the pressure the belts will exert on the passengers. The Porsche Cayenne doesn’t offer pretensioners for its rear seat belts.

In the past twenty years hundreds of infants and young children have died after being left in vehicles, usually by accident. When turning the vehicle off, drivers of the Bentayga are reminded to check the back seat if they opened the rear door before starting out. The Cayenne doesn’t offer a back seat reminder.

The Bentayga has standard Active Head Restraints, which use a specially designed headrest to protect the driver and front passenger from whiplash. During a rear-end collision, the Active Head Restraints system moves the headrests forward to prevent neck and spine injuries. The Cayenne doesn’t offer a whiplash protection system.

Earlier warning of stopped traffic, traffic signals, dangerous road conditions, weather, or accidents, can keep driver's safer and prevent crashes. The Bentayga has Connected Car Services, a system that seamlessly communicates important warnings to the driver about impending danger, if they're available. The Cayenne doesn’t offer a system that can receive automated systems

The Bentley Bentayga’s rear backup camera has a standard washer for maintaining a clear view under various conditions. In contrast, the Porsche Cayenne does not offer a rear camera washer, meaning its effectiveness relies on manual cleaning by the user when necessary.

Both the Bentayga and the Cayenne have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front and rear side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors, rear cross-path warning, available night vision systems and lane departure warning systems.

The Bentayga Hybrid’s standard fuel tank has 1.4 gallons more fuel capacity than the Cayenne E-Hybrid’s standard fuel tank (19.8 vs. 18.4 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

For better traction, the Bentayga has larger tires than the Cayenne (285/45R21 vs. 255/55R20).

The Bentayga’s standard tires provide better handling because they have a lower 45 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Cayenne’s standard 55 series front tires. The Bentayga SPEED’s optional tires have a lower 35 series profile than the Cayenne’s optional 40 series front tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Bentayga has standard 21-inch wheels. Smaller 20-inch wheels are standard on the Cayenne. The Bentayga SPEED’s optional 23-inch wheels are larger than the 22-inch wheels optional on the Cayenne.

The front and rear suspension of the Bentayga uses air springs for a smoother, controlled ride than the Cayenne, which uses coil springs. Air springs maintain proper ride height and ride more smoothly.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Bentayga’s wheelbase is 3.9 inches longer than on the Cayenne (117.9 inches vs. 114 inches).

The Bentayga SPEED handles at .93 G’s, while the Cayenne S pulls only .90 G’s of cornering force in a Motor Trend skidpad test.

The Bentayga SPEED executes Motor Trend’s “Figure Eight” maneuver 1 seconds quicker than the Cayenne S (24.6 seconds @ .79 average G’s vs. 25.6 seconds @ .75 average G’s).

For better maneuverability, the Bentayga SPEED’s turning circle is 2.3 feet tighter than the Cayenne’s (37.4 feet vs. 39.7 feet).

For greater off-road capability the Bentayga has a 1.5 inches greater minimum ground clearance than the Cayenne E-Hybrid (9.7 vs. 8.2 inches), allowing the Bentayga to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged. The Bentayga’s minimum ground clearance is .2 inch higher than on the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid (9.7 vs. 9.5 inches).

A low lift-over cargo hatch design makes loading and unloading the Bentayga easier. The Bentayga’s cargo hatch lift-over height is 28.4 inches, while the Cayenne’s liftover is 31 inches.

The Bentayga’s cargo area is larger than the Cayenne’s in almost every dimension:

The Bentayga has a standard remote vehicle starting system, so the vehicle can be started from inside the driver's house. This allows the driver to comfortably warm up the engine before going out to the vehicle. The climate system will also automatically heat or cool the interior. The Cayenne doesn’t offer a remote starting system.

If the windows are left open on the Bentayga the driver can close all of them at the outside door handle. The driver of the Cayenne can only operate the windows from inside the vehicle, with the ignition on.

The Bentayga EWB’s optional power side swing out doors make it much easier to load and unload kids and cargo. One touch opens the door, before you even get to the sport utility. The Cayenne doesn’t offer a power rear door.

The Bentayga’s power window, power lock, power mirror and cruise control switches are lit from behind, making them plainly visible and easier to operate at night. The Cayenne’s cruise control switches are unlit, making them difficult to find at night and operate safely.

To shield the driver and front passenger’s vision over a larger portion of the windshield and side windows, the Bentayga has standard extendable sun visors. The Cayenne doesn’t offer extendable visors.

Both the Bentayga and the Cayenne offer optional massaging front seats. The Bentayga also offers optional massaging rear seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging rear seats aren’t available in the Cayenne.
